Education Minnesota
Laura has been endorsed by Education Minnesota because of her commitment to high-quality educational opportunities for all Minnesota students.  Laura believes that a stable and equitable funding system is one of the best ways to ensure quality education. She supports a tax system that provides equitable, sustainable, predictable, and sufficient funding for public schools and does not believe that this is being achieved through the state's current reliance on property taxes to fund our schools.

Education Minnesota is the largest advocate for public education in the state. It's 70,000 members work at all levels from pre-kindergarten through post-secondary, at public schools, state residential schools and college campuses.

Clean Water Action Minnesota
Laura has been endorsed by Clean Water Action Minnesota based upon her outstanding environmental credentials. She looks forward to working with them as a legislator on the issues of clean, renewable energy, water quality and the identification and elimination of toxins in our environment - their primary areas of focus.


Minnesota Farmers Union PAC

Laura is very proud to be endorsed by Minnesota Farmers Union PAC. MFU works to protect and enhance the economic interests and quality of life of family farmers and ranchers and rural communities.  As a Minnesota state senator she will honor her agricultural roots and work for the same.


Minnesota AFL-CIO
Laura is proud to have received endorsement from the Minnesota AFL-CIO because she will stand up for the interests of working families as a candidate and as part of the Minnesota Senate. 

The Minnesota AFL-CIO is the state federation of labor representing over 300,000 members of over 1,000 local unions throughout Minnesota.  The mission of the Minnesota AFL-CIO is to improve the lives of working families—to bring economic justice to the workplace and social justice to our state and the nation.


Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
Laura is honored to have received endorsement from the MN State Council of Service Employees International Union. SEIU works to improve the lives of working people and their families. Its over 30,000 Minnesota members work in the areas of property service, hospital systems, long-term care and public services.


Minnesota Nurses Association
Laura has received whole-hearted support and endorsement from the Minnesota Nurses Association.  MNA's membership of 20,000 registered nurses is dedicated to advocating for and providing quality healthcare in Minnesota and Laura is proud to have their endorsement.  Laura's opponent has received a -7 legislative rating from the MNA with only one other senator receiving a lower rating.  Check out their website to see why.

Laura is very excited to announce that the Sierra Club has endorsed her candidacy for Senate District 34, in appreciation of her demonstrated commitment to protecting the environment.The Sierra Club’s North Star Chapter is the leading grassroots voice working to preserve and protect Minnesota’s environment. Laura's opponent received a "0%" rating from the Sierra Club for the 2009-1010 session.
